Sistem Pendukung Keputusan Kesesuaian Lahan Tanaman Palawija Menggunakan Metode Profile Matching di Kecamatan Pegajahan, Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai, Sumatera Utara

Abstract

The large rice production in Pegajahan means that the production of secondary crops in this district is also considered large because farmers always cultivate secondary crops after the rice harvest is carried out. This can be proven by the relatively large production of several secondary crops in Pegajahan, namely corn production of 1076 tonnes, soybeans 10.76 tonnes, green beans 89 tonnes and watermelon 15,611 tonnes. However, in cultivating secondary crops, farmers in Pegajahan dont attach much importance to the land with the types of secondary crops. Farmers always determine the type of secondary crop according to existing trends or always follow what is most often chosen, this means that farmers often get less than optimal secondary crop productivity results. Therefore, information and knowledge are needed that can support decision making in determining the type of secondary crops that are appropriate to the nature or characteristics of the land. Profile matching was chosen as the calculation method to be carried out, where this method determines the difference in GAP between alternatives and criteria. If the resulting gap is small, then the alternative matches the criteria. From the results obtained, Pegajahan has 4 different types of SPL or land characteristics. After the calculations, it was found that the average land suitability class was S2 (suitable) for the four types of secondary crops. However, for soybeans, there are several land characteristics that are worth S3 (somewhat suitable) such as in villages that have SPL 1 and SPL 3.
