    Abstract
Cloves have the potential to encourage economic growth in large exporting countries. Cloves are mostly traded in Asian markets, but cloves are consumed in almost every country in the world. Clove consumers in the world are countries in South America, North America, Africa, Europe and Asia (Danthu et al, 2022). The objectives of this research are: 1) Analyzing the contribution of clove exports to the economic growth of large exporting countries from the demand side, 2) Analyzing the contribution of clove exports to the economic growth of large exporting countries from the supply side. The method used in this research is Generalized Least Square (GLS) analysis. The data used is panel data with an aggregate demand model and aggregate production function. The results of panel data analysis on the demand side show that clove exports have a positive and significant effect on the economic growth of Indonesia, Madagascar, Sri Lanka and the Republic of Tanzania. Exports of all agricultural commodities per capita, income per capita, low-educated workforce and exports of agricultural commodities originating from plants have a positive and significant effect on economic growth. A highly educated workforce has a negative and significant effect on economic growth, while government spending has a negative and insignificant effect on the economic growth of large clove exporting countries. From the supply side, clove exports have a positive and insignificant effect on the economic growth of Indonesia, Madagascar, Sri Lanka and the Republic of Indonesia. of Tanzania. Investment, exports of agricultural commodities originating from plants and exports of all agricultural commodities per capita have a positive and significant effect on economic growth, while low-educated workers and highly educated workers have a positive and insignificant effect on economic growth in large clove exporting countries.
