    Abstract
    Indonesia is agricultural country with various agricultural commodities where the handling of agricultural products is something that must be supervised. One of handling agricultural products is precooling fruit and vegetables so they can be transported for delivery to reduce evaporation, so that the freshness of the fruit can last longer. The refrigeration absorption system is a system that can be used in storage rooms for agricultural product transportation because it requires less energy compared to vapor compression refrigeration systems. This research aims to determine and analyze the influence of the performance of the equipment system after modification, and to determine the influence of storage space conditions with a length of 75 cm, width of 51 cm and height of 48 cm on vehicles transporting agricultural products. The research results showed that when the fan was turned on on the condenser and evaporator and the empty storage room condition had the lowest cooling temperature at 180 minutes, namely 14.67 oC and had the highest COP value 6,919. The results also showed that when the fan was turned on on the condenser and evaporator, the temperature for tomatoes was 18.33 oC and the highest cooling rate was 3.38 oC/hour. It can be concluded that in this research the absorption refrigeration system after modification and the conditions in the cold storage have an effect on the performance of the system in the cold storage for agricultural product transportation.
