    Abstract
This study aims to analyze the differences in perceptions between students of the Social Welfare Study Program from the Class of 2020 and the Class of 2021 at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara, towards the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Kampus Mengajar program. The research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to student samples from both cohorts. Data analysis was conducted to examine how student perceptions of the MBKM Kampus Mengajar program differ between these two groups. The research findings indicate that there are significant differences in perceptions between students of the Class of 2020 and the Class of 2021 towards the MBKM Kampus Mengajar program. The Class of 2020 students, who have more academic experience, tend to have a more positive perception compared to the Class of 2021 students. Factors influencing these perception differences include experience, knowledge, and participation level in the MBKM program. Students who have been in the academic environment longer tend to have a deeper understanding of the program's benefits and objectives. These findings provide important insights for the evaluation and development of the MBKM Kampus Mengajar program in the future. By understanding these perception differences, the university and program organizers can design more effective strategies to enhance participation and acceptance of the program among students. This study also highlights the importance of considering students' experience and knowledge in developing and implementing innovative educational programs
