The Influence of Interpersonal Communication and Work Discipline on The Performance of Civil Servants (PNS) at Dinas Perhubungan Medan City
Abstract
This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of Interpersonal Communication and Work Discipline on the Performance of Civil Servants at the Dinas Perhubungan Medan city. The population of this study amounted to 245 civil servants. The number of samples in the study was 72 people from the total population with the sampling technique, namely simple random sampling. The data for this study were obtained from interviews and distributing research questionnaires to civil servants at the Dinas Perhubungan Kota Medan. The analysis technique uses multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that simultaneously interpersonal communication and work discipline have a positive and significant effect on the performance of civil servants (PNS) at the Dinas Perhubungan Medan city. The results of this study indicate that work discipline has the first more dominant influence on employee performance at the Dinas Perhubungan Medan city then followed by interpersonal communication variables which have the second dominant influence.
