    Abstract
This study aims to examine the implementation of information literacy among students using the Langsa City Library and Archives Office based on the Empowering & information literacy model. The research employs a quantitative descriptive method. The population consists of students actively registered at the Langsa City Library and Archives Office for the 2019/2020 academic year, totaling 901 students. A sample size of 100 students was determined using Slovin's formula, and accidental sampling was employed to select participants. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The data analysis results indicate that information literacy among students at the Langsa City Library and Archives Office based on the Empowering 8 model indicators is as follows: 1) students' ability to identify topics or subjects, formats, search strategies, and potential information sources is good (80.15%). 2) Students' ability to explore information sources, access information accurately, and conduct observations is good (75%). 3) Students' ability to select relevant information, choose information levels and criteria, and gather notes is good (65.80%). 4) Students' ability to organize information logically, structure theories, and cite sources is very good (83.20%). 5) Students' ability to create information in their own words, edit, and complete bibliographies is excellent (87.90%). 6) Students' ability to present information using aids and disseminate information is very good (85.40%). 7) Students' ability to evaluate information, accept feedback from different perspectives, and draw conclusions is excellent (88%). 8) Students' ability to apply information and use it in various situations and fields is very good (84.70%).
