    Abstract
Background : Infectious diseases are one of the serious health issues that require attention. Infectious diseases can easily spread to others, thus requiring immediate attention. One of the bacteria that causes infections is Staphylococcus aureus. Communities in various countries have utilized coffee plants to address various health issues. One method is by using coffee fruit skin waste as an antibacterial agent. Objective : The aim of this research is to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration of silver nanoparticles coffee fruit skin waste extract (Coffea canephora) against Staphylococcus aureus. Method : Antibacterial activity test of silver nanoparticles coffee fruit skin waste extract (Coffea canephora) against Staphylococcus aureus using agar diffution using the clindamycin as positive control, and DMSO as the negative control Results : The test results showed that the antibacterial of of silver nanoparticles coffee fruit skin waste extract (Coffea canephora) against Staphylococcus aureus had activity which was indicated by the presence of a clear zone when determining the diameter of the inhibition zone. The test concentrations used were 75 ppm, 50 ppm, 25 ppm, 12,5 ppm, and 6,25 ppm, with the average diameter of the inhibition zone respectively being 10,33 mm, 10,03 mm, 9,6 mm, 8,53 mm, and 6,6 mm. Conclusion : The minimum inhibitory concentration of silver nanoparticles coffee fruit skin waste extract (Coffea canephora) against Staphylococcus aureus is 6,25 ppm.
