    Growth and Production of Several Varieties of Lowland Rice (Oryza Sativa L.) Against Inorganik N Fertilization and Organic Fertilizer

    Abstract
    This research aims to determine the growth and production response of several rice varieties (Oryza sativa L.) through inorganic N and organic fertilizers. This research was carried out at BSIP's Experimental Land which is located on Jalan Sidoarjo one Ps. Miring, District. Pagar Merbau, North Sumatra, from November 2023 to February 2024. This research used a Randomized Group Design (RAK) method with 2 treatment factors. The first factor is Rice Variety: (Inpari 32, Ciherang, Mekongga, Inpari 16 and Sidenuk). The second is a mixture of Inorganic N Fertilizer and Organic Fertilizer: (1,2gr urea/tanaman Fertilizer; 100% chicken manure; 1,2gr urea/tanaman+chicken manure; 0,9gr/plant urea + chicken manure; and 0,6gr/plant urea+chicken manure). There were 25 treatment combinations with two replications which produced 400 samples. The parameters measured are: plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, panicle length, flag leaf area, leaf color, head root weight, root wet weight, shoot dry weight, root dry weight, flowering age, harvest age, number of productive tillers, percentage of filled grain, percentage of empty grain, weight of 1000 grains, harvest index. The research results showed that the use of several lowland rice varieties had a significant effect on the observed parameters: plant height, flag leaf area, shoot wet weight, root wet weight, root dry weight and 1000 grain weight. The inorganik N fertilizer treatment and organic fertilizer had a significant effect on the observed parameters: plant height, flag leaf area, shoot fresh weight, root wet weight, root dry weight, harvest index. The interaction of using several lowland rice varieties and fertilizing with inorganik N and organik fertilizer had a significant effect on the observed parameters: shoot fresh weight, root wet weight and root dry weight. With the best combination treatment, namely the Mekongga variety and the use of 1,2gr urea/tanaman + 10,000kg chicken manure.
