    Abstract
In the production process, the issue of production efficiency is a major concern. Good machine performance is one of the many aspects that affect the smoothness of a process. In order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its company, PT. X, has implemented Total Productive Maintenance. However, in its implementation it is still not optimal, namely frequent downtime on the bucket elevator machine. The high downtime of the bucket elevator causes production targets not to be achieved, delays in the distribution process, and non-productive activities for employees. The purpose of this final assignment is to analyze the causes of damage using the OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) method to measure effectiveness using three perspectives to identify the six big losses, namely availability, performance and quality to improve better efficiency. Supporting data in the form of damage images, downtime history, production data, actual operational conditions, and technical datasheets. The Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) value in March and April 2023, namely 82.02% and 82.68%, is still below the world class standard of 85%. So it is considered that in March and April it has less effectiveness and performance. The most significant breakdown losses occurred in March, namely losses due to chain damage that took quite a long time. Other losses that affect the low OEE value are idling and minor stoppages losses and reduce speed losses. Small things that often turn off the machine are materials that block/clog equipment on the Elevator. The results of analytical calculations of the force acting on the bucket elevator chain are 33585.5 N. The magnitude of the force acting on the chain is still below the minimum stress limit that can be accepted by the chain of 39500 kg. The largest local stress received by the chain in the simulation is 147.52 MPa which is located at the link in the chain
