    Abstract
    This thesis aims to determine the effect of women's leadership on employee performance at the Office of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection and Family Planning (DP3AKB) of North Sumatra Province. The background of this research is because based on the 2024 Strategic Plan, there is still a lack of human resource capacity / Institutions for the protection of women's rights and special protection of children in compiling and implementing various existing laws and policies and there is still limited service capacity for women and children victims of violence. This research uses an associative with a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through distributing questionnaires. The population in this study were employees of the Office of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection and Family Planning (DP3AKB) of North Sumatra Province, there were 59 people, the lack of population from 100 made the sample taken as a whole so that the sample was 59 people. Furthermore, to analyse the researchers used a Likert scale with the SmartPLS analysis method. The results showed a positive and significant effect on women's leadership on employee performance. The Office of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection and Family Planning of North Sumatra Province has quite good women leaders where in the agency women's leadership is dominated by maternal factors (mother).
