This research aims to identify and examine the role of office administration in streamlining the performance of employees in the General and Personnel sections in the Transportation Departement North Sumatra Province. Efficient and effective administration is an important factor in supporting employee performance, especially in the scope of administrative tasks which include managing human resources, activities, services, facilities and coordination in the agency. This research methodology uses a qualitative sample approach with the data sources used are primary data obtained from the field in the form of questionnaires and interviews/observations and in this study were employees in the General and Personnel Section in the Transportation Departement North Sumatra Province. The results of the research show that office administration activities in the General and Personnel section have been implemented well, this can be seen from the majority of employees in the General and Personnel Section assessing that the agency's activities, services and facilities have played a good role in expediting office activities. The Transportation Departement North Sumatra Province, especially in the General and Personnel section, has used the facilities well in the agency so as to facilitate the efficiency of employee operational performance, and also facilitate the productivity and performance of employees in the agency.
