Dampak Program Tanggung Jawab Sosial dan Lingkungan (TJSL) Perusahaan PT Inalum (Persero) pada Pendidikan Masyarakat Sekitar di Kuala Tanjung Kabupaten Batubara

Abstract

This article explains the impact of the social and environmental responsibility of the company PT Inalum (Persero) on the surrounding community in Kuala Tanjung, Batu Bara district, which is felt by program recipients. The impact on these students has the effect of easing the financial burden on families in financing the education of independent children and improving the quality of education in the central region. The KSEl scholarship program has increased educational access for students who are economically disadvantaged. On the other hand, the development of port facilities by PT Inalulm (Pelrselro) has an impact on fishermen, especially the livelihoods and income of farmers, due to the implementation of the ISPS CODE (International Ship and Port Facility Selculrity Code) which regulates port and ship safety. The method used in this research is a qualitative method which aims to obtain comprehensive results regarding conditions occurring in the field regarding the impact on students who receive scholarship assistance. The data sources for this article come from observations, in-depth interviews, documentation and literature studies. The results of this research show that the impact felt by scholarship recipients from Karya Salemba Empat (KSE) is very impactful for students who receive it and become students who are responsible for what they have achieved.
