Abstract

This research discusses the influence of the Cross Love Park tourism in improving the welfare of clothing and accessories traders in Siatas BaritaDistrict, North Tapanuli Regency. The aim of this research is to determine and analyze the influence of the income of traders who sell at the Cross Love Park. This research is motivated by tourism in North Sumatra, especially in North Tapanuli district in Tarutung District, namely the Cross Love Park. The Cross of Love Park is located in a mountainous area with potential as a domestic tourist destination. Apart from being used as a tourist attraction in general, the Cross of Love is a religious tourist attraction. Therefore, the Lintas Kasih park tourism is a vehicle for economic turnover and growth. This research uses the theory of determinants of welfare. Welfare is a measuring point for whether a society is in a prosperous condition. Prosperity can be interpreted as equality of life at a level greater than life. A person will feel that his life is prosperous if he feels happy, does not lack anything within the limits of what is possible, he is free from poverty and threatening dangers. The results of this research show that the existence of the Cross of Love Park has had a significant impact on increasing the income of merchant families in the area. The results of this research show that the increase in the number of tourist visitors to the Cross Love Park has increased local economic activity, especially for clothing and accessory traders.
