Perbandingan Penerapan Penilaian Perpustakaan Menggunakan Spec Kit 303 ARL (Studi Kasus UPT. Perpustakaan Unimed, Perpustakaan USU, dan Perpustakaan UINSU)

Abstract

This research aimed to know the comparison of the implementation of library assessment using SPEC Kit 303 ACRL (Case Studi of Technical Implementation Unit/TIU of library State University of Medan, library University of North Sumatra, and library State Islamic University of North Sumatra. The method for research is quantitative with a descriptive comparative research type. First, data was collected directly from respondents, then it was analyzed and interpreted so it obtainded the information that could answer the research problem. The research respondents are 40 library staff with sample technique using proportionate stratified random sampling. The data collection technique used was an open questionnaire. The variable in this research is library assessment. The research results showed that overall in terms of library assessment using the SPEC Kit 303 ARL, library State University of Medan and library University of North Sumatra were superior to library State Islamic University of North Sumatra. This statement was from the data of five SPEC Kit 303 ARL indicators that TIU of library State University of Medan and University of North Sumatra met these five indicators. Meanwhile, Library State Islamic University of North Sumatra as a whole only met one indicator, namely the organization of assessment activities
