    Abstract
A subchronic toxicity test is a test to detect symptoms of toxicity that appear after being given a dose of a drug repeatedly for 28 days. Agarwood (W. tenuiramis Miq.) is a tree of the Thymelaeaceae tribe. Agarwood leaves have many benefits and properties for body health. In consuming it, safety test data of agarwood leaf tea bags is needed through oral subchronic toxicity tests. This study aims to determine the presence of toxic symptoms caused by agarwood leaf tea bag products and to find out whether the weight of mice and the weight of liver, heart and kidney organs affect toxic symptoms after being given tea bags extracted using hot water. Tea from agarwood leaves was tested using 40 mice divided into 3 treatment groups and 1 control group. The doses used were 130, 260 and 390 mg/kg bb. The results of observation of toxic symptoms showed that the administration of tea brew had no effect on toxic symptoms, did not result in death and had no effect on weight changes and weight of the liver, heart and kidney organs of mice. Observation of macropathology of normal mouse organs is brownish-red, smooth surface and elastic consistency. The results of SGOT levels were normal in all treatment and control groups, but the results of SGPT were above the normal limit in some test animals. Histopathological results showed the presence of hydrophilic degeneration, mild necrosis, bleeding and inflammation in some organs of mice. It can be concluded that the administration of agarwood leaf tea bag does not cause any toxic symptoms.
