Identifikasi Fungi dalam Laju Dekomposisi Serasah Daun Rhizopora mucronata pada Ekosistem Mangrove di Desa Belawan Bahari

Abstract

Mangrove forest litter has important functions for mangrove ecosystems, including maintaining the fertility of the forest soil concerned. Soil and plant fertility depend on the productivity and rate of litter decomposition. Fungi influence the rate of leaf litter decomposition. Fungi are the main agents in the decomposition process that produces nutrients. This research was conducted to study the various types of fungi in the decomposition process of R. mucronata leaf litter and calculate the decomposition rate of R. mucronata leaf litter and analyze the levels of carbohydrates and proteins in decomposed R. mucronata leaf litter. This research method uses litter bags to store R. mucronata leaf litter which will be isolated and identified and calculated the rate of decomposition. This research was conducted for 6 months from August 2023 to January 2024. The results of this study showed that there were 6 types of fungi obtained, namely Aspergillus sp. 2, Aspergillus sp. 1, Trichoderma sp. 1, Aspergillus sp. 4, Trichoderma sp. 2, Aspergillus sp. 3. The value of the decomposition rate (k) of R. mucronata leaf litter is 8,13g/year. The average percentage of carbohydrate content contained in R. mucronata litter is 9,84% and the average protein content is 6,19 %.
