    Abstract
    The Humbang Hasundutan community with the Toba Batak ethnic group has known traditional medicines that are obtained directly from nature and prepared simply based on the experience and knowledge of the community since ancient times KHDTK IT Del in Pollung District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency stores various types of plant diversity, including types of plants with medicinal properties that have not yet been fully explored. This research a ims to analyze the diversity of medicinal plant sp ecies identify the use of medicinal plant sp ecie s a nd analyze medicinal plant habitats in KHDTK IT Del. The research method was carried out in three stages, namely vegetation analysis data collection by means of interviews, and habitat analysis. The results of research using the interview method show that there are 9 types of plants that are used by the community as medicine. Meanwhile, the vegetation analysis method shows that there are 25 types of plant s with medicinal properties found in KHDTK IT Del. The results of habitat analysis show that the average temperature at the research location is 22.16 o C, humidity 81.85%. The highest light intensity was obtained in open areas at 30,230 lux, while the lowes t was obtained in the shade of hariara trees at 2,533 lux. The soil type at the research location is alluvial soil with a sandy loam texture and the land cover type at the research location is secondary dry land forest cover.
