| dc.description.abstract | Sweet potato plants are a very important source of carbohydrates in Indonesia after rice, corn and cassava. Efforts to increase sweet potato production are still being carried out, for this reason efforts can be taken with various technology packages, one way that can be done to achieve high production goals is through natural growth regulators (PGR). The application of growth regulators in modern agriculture is carried out to increase production, increase product size, improve product quality, or standardize flowering time. This research aims to determine the effect of concentration and time interval of application of natural PGR sweet corn extract on the growth and production of sweet potato plants. This research used a factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 2 factors, namely: The first factor is Sweet Corn Extract Concentration with 4 levels, namely: K0 : 0 ml/l (Control) K1 : 2 ml/l K2 : 4 ml/l K3 : 6 ml/l. The second factor is the Time Interval of Administration with 4 levels, namely: W1: once every 4 weeks W2: once every 3 weeks W3: once every 2 weeks W4: once a week. This research was carried out from January to May 2023. The research results indicate that the administration of various concentrations of sweet corn extract significantly affects observed variables such as stem length at 8 weeks after planting (8 WAP), tuber length per plant, tuber diameter per plant, tuber weight per plant, tuber weight per plot, average tuber weight per plant, and harvest index. The interval of sweet corn extract application significantly influenced tuber length per plant, tuber weight per plant, and tuber weight per plot. The interval between applications did not affect all observed variables. | en_US |
