Pengelolaan Asuhan Keperawatan Nyeri Akut pada Pasien Post Appendiktomi dengan Aromaterapi Lavender dan Mobilisasi Dini di Rumah Sakit Prof. Dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis Universitas Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Appendicitis is inflammation of the appendix and is a medical emergency that almost always requires surgery (appendectomy) as soon as possible to remove the appendix. Post appendectomy is an invasive procedure that causes pain in the patient. Non-pharmacological therapy to reduce pain in post- appendectomy patients includes administering lavender aromatherapy and early mobilization. The aim of this research is to provide nursing care with lavender aromatherapy and mobilization to relieve pain in post- appendectomy patients. This research is in the form of a case study involving 3 post-appendectomy patients at Prof. Hospital. Dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis, University of North Sumatra. The author implemented nursing for 3 days with a duration of 15 minutes. After applying lavender aromatherapy and early mobilization, the results showed that there was a reduction in the intensity of post-appendectomy pain felt by the patient. Suggestions for health workers are expected to improve services in the field of acute pain nursing care for post-appendectomy patients with lavender aromatherapy and early mobilization.
