The purpose of this study is to explain how emptiness the role of women in the government structure of Gampong Paloh Lada with nature and nurture theory. The research method used in this study is qualitative with a field research approach. The data collection process was carried out by observation, interview, and documentation methods in Gampong Paloh Lada. Taking informants from this study used purposive sampling techniques with informants consisting of village officials and non-village officials to see different perspectives on the role of women in the village government system. The results of this study show that the role of women in participating in building and managing villages is very important. Not all work in village government can be done well by men, there are still many jobs that can and should be done by women themselves. The desire of women to participate in helping to manage the village can be quite high, but there are also some women who argue that managing the village is not a woman's job but a man's duty. The opportunity for women to help manage the village can be said to be very small, even though the village apparatus allows women to participate in the village government structure, women are still limited by regulations or qanun. The obstacles that occur if women participate in village government are neglected family interests, hindered by religious law, no transparency in the selection of tuha peut members. Behind it all, women have a positive contribution in helping village government such as taking care of village administration, helping to resolve household conflicts, helping prepare village traditional events, helping organize villagesocial activities. Analysis of the nature of women in village government is that womendo not have time to participate because of busy household care, hindered by religious law because women are supposed to work domestically, and differences in men's physical conditions are better than women's. Analysis of nurture in women in village government is that women want to participate because of the economic drive to meet family needs, the influence of higher education, social influence because of the surrounding environment, and the desire to be equal with men.en_US
