    Abstract
Improvement of soil physical properties is an important factor for plant growth and survival. This study aims to determine the effect of applying bokashi fertilizer on the physical properties of ultisol soil. This study used a randomized design consisting of 4 treatments and 6 replications, namely P0 (without bokashi fertilizer), P1 = 5 kg of ultisol soil + 200 grams of bokashi fertilizer, P2 = 5 kg of ultisol soil + 250 grams of bokashi fertilizer, and P3 = 5 kg of ultisol soil + 300 grams of bokashi fertilizer. Parameters observed included soil texture, organic matter, soil content, soil specific gravity, porosity, permeability, field capacity water content, and available water. The results showed that the ultisol soil type in the study was sandy loam texture. The value of organic matter content in this study was P0 2.55%, P1 5.44%, P2 5.62%, and P3 6.2%. The soil content weight for each treatment decreased with P0 1.51 g/cm³, P1 1.25 g/cm³, P2 0.94 g/cm³ and P3 0,86 g/cm³. The soil specific gravity for each treatment decreased with the value of each treatment P0 2.64 g/cm³, P1 2.42 g/cm³, P2 2.15 g/cm³, and P3 1,97 g/cm³. Porosity in each treatment increased with P0 42.8%, P1 48.34%, P2 56,27%, and P3 56,34%. Permeability value of P0 1.99 cm/h, P1 2.46 cm/h, P2 2.54 cm/h, and P3 3.25 cm/h. Then the value of field capacity water content (pF 2.54) P0 54.48%, P1 52.87%, P2 56.42%, and P3 57.46%. pF 4.2 at P0 26.68%, P1 21.28%, P2 24.42%, and P3 33.8%. So that the available water in each treatment is P0 27.8%, P1 31.59%, P2 24.42%, and P3 33.8%.
