dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to determine the process of preventing bad debts with the application of prudential principles at BTN Bank Medan Branch Office. In this study the authors used qualitative research, because the data obtained in the form of interviews with sources that will be processed further. The results of this study indicate that the State Savings Bank (BTN) Medan Branch Office implements various strategies and concrete steps to ensure the prevention of bad debts and the State Savings Bank (BTN), namely the Application of the 5C and 7P Principles, BTN Medan Branch Office conducts a thorough assessment of prospective debtors based on the 5C (Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral, Condition) and 7P (Purpose, Plan, Prospect, Party, Performance, Position, Protection) principles. Early Warning System, the Bank has a system to detect potential bad debts early, thus enabling proactive preventive measures. Provisioning, the Bank makes provision to anticipate potential losses from bad debts. The application of the prudential principle in lending at Bank BTN Medan Branch Office, the researcher concluded that Bank BTN Medan Branch Office has been done well. In applying the prudential principles at Bank BTN Medan Branch Office, the researcher assesses prospective customers based on the 5C and 7P principles. | en_US |
