Pengaruh Kualitas Air Irigasi Bandar Sidoras dan Air Payau di Desa Tanjung Rejo Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan terhadap Produksi Tanaman Padi (Oryza sativa L.)

Abstract

Tanjung Rejo Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, which has a land area of 645 ha, uses irrigation water and brackish water to grow rice plants, but many farmers also ignore the effects of brackish water on their rice plants. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the quality of Bandar Sidoras irrigation water and brackish water in Tanjung Rejo Village, Percut Sei Tuan District on the growth and production of rice plants (Oryza sativa L.). The research was carried out from February 2023 to May 2023 in the Greenhouse and Research and Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra using experimental methods. The results of this study show that the comparison between the use of irrigation water and brackish water on rice production resulted in the highest average being found in brackish water.
