Kegiatan Layanan Sirkulasi pada Dinas Perpustakaan Kota Binjai
Abstract
Background: This study investigates circulation service activities at the Binjai City Library.
Objective: To examine circulation services at the Binjai City Library.
Methodology: The methods employed include literature review, observation, interviews, and documentation.
Findings: The study shows that the circulation services at the Binjai City Library encompass six key activities: member registration, borrowing, returning, renewal, overdue management, and sanctions enforcement. The integration of information technology via the Inlislite application has improved circulation service efficiency, although certain manual processes remain in place. The library’s extensive collection—comprising 14,228 titles and 27,511 copies—demonstrates its commitment to meeting the public's informational needs. These findings suggest that the success of circulation services is significantly influenced by technological integration and effective collection management, advancing the Library Office’s vision and mission to serve the community effectively.
Conclusion: Circulation services at the Binjai City Library are operating effectively, as substantiated by Anshari and Silviana (2021).
