Analisis Location Quotient Subsektor Pertanian Kabupaten Dairi

Abstract

Food Estate is a solution and strategy from the government for the national economic recovery program (PEN) and also to prevent a food crisis. The North Sumatra Provincial Government sees Kabupaten Dairi as a having great potential to be used as agricultural land in supporting basic needs in North Sumatra. This study aims to explain the contribution of the agricultural sub-sector to the agricultural sector in Dairi Regency and to explain what the basic commodities are in each agricultural sub-sector in Kabupaten Dairi. The method used in this research is LQ (Location Quotient ) Analysis. The results of this study are the contribution of the GRDP of the agricultural sector in Kabupaten Dairi has increased from 2019 - 2023 with an average development of 43.13% and several commodities in each agricultural sub-sector in Kabupaten Dairi have basic commodities including in the horticultural sub-sector of vegetable crops, namely cayenne branches, shallots, curly chilies, leeks, and potatoes, horticultural subsector of fruit crops, namely sirsak, duku, durian, alpukat, duku, durian, jengkol, and jeruk, the horticultural subsector of biophaka plants namely cardamom, galangal, and ginger, the food subsector namely sweet potatoes and corn, the plantation subsector namely robusta coffee, arabica coffee, tobacco, cocoa, and coconut as the base commodity, the livestock subsector namely buffalo, horses, goats, pigs, free-range chickens, and ducks, while in the fisheries subsector namely tilapia as the base animal in the Dairi Regency area.
