Utilizing municipal waste can not only reduce the volume of municipal waste, but is also a source of organic material that can be used as organic fertilizer such as bokashi, the organic content contained can increase the diversity of microbes in the soil and the availability of nutrients so that it can improve the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil. The aim of the research is to examine the effect of applying organic waste bokashi fertilizer and NPK fertilizer on the growth and production of hybrid corn (Zea mays L.). The research was carried out at the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra, Medan at an altitude of ± 25 meters above sea level. The research was carried out from January 2024 to April 2024. The research used a Factorial Randomized Block Design, namely the first factor of Bokashi Organic Waste fertilizer consisting of doses of 0 tons/ha, 10 tons/ha, 20 tons/ha, 30 tons/ha and the second factor NPK fertilizer application consists of doses of 0 kg/ha, 150 kg/ha, 300 kg/ha and 450 kg/ha. The parameters observed were plant height, stem diameter, leaf area, ear weight, ear length, ear diameter, seed weight per treatment, weight of 100 seeds per treatment. The results of the research showed that the application of Organic Waste bokashi fertilizer at a dose of 20 tons/ha had a significant effect on increasing plant height, stem diameter, leaf area, ear weight, ear length, ear diameter, seed weight per treatment and weight of 100 seeds per treatment. Likewise, applying NPK fertilizer at a dose of 300 kg/ha had a significant effect in increasing plant height, stem diameter, leaf area, ear weight, ear length, ear diameter, seed weight per treatment and weight of 100 seeds per treatment. The interaction of organic waste bokashi fertilizer had no significant effect in increasing plant height but had a significant effect in increasing stem diameter, leaf area, ear weight, ear length, ear diameter, seed weight per treatment and weight of 100 seeds per treatment.en_US
