    Abstract
his study aims to determine the response of growth and production of mung bean plants to the application of NPK compound fertilizer and rhizobium inoculation. This research was conducted at Jalan Pusaka Bandar Klippa, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency with an altitude of 13 meters above sea level and was conducted from April to July 2023. This study used a factorial randomized block design method (RBD) with 2 treatment factors. The first factor is 4 levels of NPK fertilizer doses, namely: 0, 100, 200, 300 kg/ha. The second factor is 3 levels of Rhizobium doses, namely: 0, 10, 15 g/kg seed. The results showed that the treatment of various doses of NPK fertilizer had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height at 2-4 weeks after planting, the number of effective root nodules at 4-5 weeks after planting, the weight of effective root nodules, the number of productive branches, crown fresh weight, root fresh weight, crown dry weight, root dry weight, the number of productive pods per plant, seed weight per plant, seed weight per plot, dry weight of 100 seeds, and harvest index. The treatment of Rhizobium application at various doses had a significant effect on the height of mung bean plants at the age of 2 - 4 weeks after planting, the number of effective root nodules and the weight of effective root nodules at the age of 4 and 5 weeks after planting, the number of productive branches, crown fresh weight, root fresh weight, crown dry weight, root dry weight, number of productive pods per plant, seed weight per plant, seed weight per plot, dry weight of 100 seeds and harvest index. The interaction between the application of various doses of NPK fertilizer and the application of various doses of Rhizobium had a significant effect on growth and production parameters, namely on the parameters of mung bean plant height at 2-4 weeks of planting, effective root nodule weight at 5 weeks of planting, number of productive branches, number of productive pods per plant, seed weight per plant, seed weight per plot, and dry weight of 100 seeds. The interaction treatment between the two had no significant effect on the parameters of the number of root nodules at 4 and 5 weeks of planting, root nodule weight at 4 weeks of planting, crown fresh weight, root fresh weight, crown dry weight, root dry weight and harvest index.
