ABSTRACT JOSH MAJA DOLVAN NAINGGOLAN with the title of the thesis is The Influence of Economic Factors on Potato Farming Income in Desa Merek, Kecamatan Merek, Kabupaten Karo, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of economic factors on potato farming income in Desa Merek. This study uses Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The population in this study was taken from farmers who tried to grow potatoes in Desa Merek with a research population of 81, while for the sample using the slovin formula with a standard error of 10% and Simple Random Sampling was carried out so that the final sample obtained was 45 farmers. The data collection technique used the questionnaire method. The data analysis technique used was the Multiple Linear Regression Test. Where the tool used to develop the test used was using SPSS. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that Potato Farming Income in Desa Merek is relatively high. Both simultaneously and partially, the variables of land area, capital, and selling price have a positive and significant effect on potato farming income. Partially, the productivity variable has a positive effect but does not affect the income of the potato business.
