    Abstract
A study on the utilization of Cesium-137 as a standard calibration source for the BOSEAN FS-600 Radiation Detector has been conducted. The research aimed to evaluate the stability of the dosimeter system, determine the calibration factor, and test dose homogeneity using the BOSEAN FS-600 Radiation Detector. The calibration process was carried out at varying distances of 100 cm, 125 cm, 150 cm, 175 cm, and 200 cm. Dosimeter stability was assessed using a control chart method, with a standard deviation of 0.115%. Calibration measurements were performed with a Cesium-137 radiation source at an ambient dose equivalent rate H(10) of 567.156912 μSv/Minute, resulting in an average calibration factor of 1,008±1,92. This value falls within the international tolerance range (0.8–1.2). Furthermore, the measured radiation distribution was 6.43%, indicating good dose homogeneity across the distance variations. These results suggest that Cesium-137 can be relied upon as a standard calibration source, providing accurate data in compliance with occupational safety standards. This study offers a significant contribution to the advancement of precise radiation measuring instruments, applicable in medical, industrial, and environmental protection contexts to mitigate uncontrolled radiation exposure.
