    Abstract
    Grammatical Cohesion refers to the way various elements withing a text, such as words, phrases, and sentence, are connected and organized to create a coherent and understandable piece of writing. The objectives of this research are to find and explain grammatical cohesion in form of words or phrases from a sentences in a text. This research used Halliday and Hasan’s theory in grammatical cohesion. This qualitative research sought to discover what types of grammatical cohesion and the realization of grammatical cohesion that found in BBC News about Titanic Submarine Search. Data collected inform of text, sentences, words and phrases that taken from article titled “Titanic tourist submersible goes missing with search underway”. The findings revealed the types of grammatical cohesion such as reference, substitution, ellipsis and conjunction that found in the article with the explanation will inclued every cohesive device that found. Grammatical cohesion in the BBC News Titanic Submarine search can be found that there were 96 cohesive devices with reference as dominant uses. With it, 46 (48.9%) items of reference were found, followed by conjunction as the second rank with 37 (39.4%) items, in the third rank ellipsis with 11 (11.7%) items, and substitution in the last rank with 0 (0%). With it being found that reference is the most numerous cohesive device among other cohesions, it can be seen that the BBC News article on the Titanic submarine search uses many references that build the structure of the text.
