    Abstract
After tooth extraction, physiologically a wound healing process will occur which includes four phases, namely hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation and remodeling. Osteoblasts are one of the cells that play a role in bone formation in the proliferation and remodeling phase of alveolar bone after tooth extraction. Delayed wound healing will cause complications, so treatment is needed that can speed up wound healing. Natural ingredients that can be used to speed up wound healing are binahong leaves (Anredera cordifolia) and snakehead fish (Channa striata). The healing properties of a combination of binahong leaves and snakehead fish have been reported by several studies, but there has been no research regarding the effect of the combination of the two on wound healing after tooth extraction. This study aimed to analyze the impact of a combination of binahong leaf and snakehead fish extracts on osteoblast proliferation during socket healing after tooth extraction in wistar rats. This research is a laboratory experimental study using 8 treatment groups which will be observed until the 14th day and the 28th day. The results were analyzed using Residual Socket Volume (RSV) and mean osteoblast cell count. Data analysis using the Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney tests revealed a significant difference in the mean number of osteoblasts (p<0.05), but no significant difference in the mean RSV (p>0.05). Clinical observations showed that the results of wound closure after tooth extraction were better in the group given an oral combination of binahong leaf and snakehead fish extract. Research shows superior outcomes in the group treated with a combination of binahong leaf extract and snakehead fish extract, leading to accelerated hard tissue healing in rat tooth socket wounds.
