Analisis Pendapatan Peternak Sapi Potong di Kecamatan Kualuh Selatan, Kabupaten Labuhan Batu Utara

Abstract

IRVAN SABARKO BERUTU: “Analisis Pendapatan Peternak Sapi Potong di Kecamatan Kualuh Selatan Kabupaten Labuhan Batu Utara”, dibimbing oleh HASNUDI dan ARMYN HAKIM DAULAY. Peternakan sapi potong penggemukan merupakan usaha sampingan mayoritas masyarakat di Kecamatan Kualuh Selatan dimana terdapat perbedaan profil dari masyarakat tersebut. Oleh sebab itu perlu diketahui analisis pendapatan peternak sapi potong di kecamatan tersebut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Kualuh Selatan Kabupaten Labuhan Batu Utara Propinsi Sumatera Utara mulai bulan Oktober sampai Desember 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey dengan unit responden keluarga yang memelihara ternak sapi potong. Sampel diperoleh melalui metode Proportional Stratified Random Sampling dan diperoleh 97 orang peternak , yaitu dari desa Tanjung Pasir berjumlah 64 responden, desa Simangalam berjumlah 24 responden dan desa Lobu Huala berjumlah 9 responden. Metode analisis data pendapatan menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skala usaha, pendidikan peternak berpengaruh positif terhadap pendapatan peternak sapi potong sedangkan umur, pengalaman beternak dan jumlah tanggungan keluarga berpengaruh negatif terhadap pendapatan peternak sapi potong.

Beef cattle breeding livestock is a byproduct of the majority of people in South Kualuh Subdistrict where there are different profiles of the community. Therefore it is necessary to know the income analysis of beef cattle ranchers in the district. This research was conducted in South Kualuh Subdistrict of Labuhan Batu Utara Regency of North Sumatera Province from October to December 2016. This research used survey method with family respondent unit that raising beef cattle. The sample was obtained through Proportional Stratified Random Sampling method and obtained by 97 farmers, from Tanjung Pasir village, 64 respondents, Simangalam village was 24 respondents and Lobu Huala village was 9 respondents. Method of analysis of income data using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the scale of business, education of farmers positively affect the income of beef cattle rancher while the age, breeding experience and the number of family dependents negatively affect the income of beef cattle ranchers.
